The artist formerly known as spasserbente's father

The other day we found these splendid drawings. The artist is spasserbente's father. I really like their necks and poses. The face in the 5th picture is phenomenal! Enjoy!

Demoteket

The library of CPH has a thing called Demoteket where unpublished artists and such can lend out their work - it features everything from gay porn and queer activist zines to vinyls and tapes with different (underground) musicians. Last week I went to read at the library and stumbled upon a couple of interesting things in the demotek-department. One of which I'd like to do a little advertisement for; Sara Hansson's "by and about Sarah Hansson". A small comic about women, men, family, money etc. - published by Volapyk Forlag. I just discovered that she has a blog!
Definitely worth checking out, she is incredibly talented, her drawings are fetching and her thoughts and opinions are interesting and for the most part very true. Sara Hansson you are fantastic!

Fancy webcamming

I realized that I might use my webcam for taking some pictures, and so I did. This is the result:

My old hands demonstrating the graphic design of certain works in the category 'danish chick litterature' ("Nynnes Dagbog" and "En som mig") What I find quite interesting is the similarity - the whole patterny-colourfull-ness of both the books, and obviously the way the titles are written in different styles and sizes, much like were they cut out of some newspapers. I am currently kinda reading both books and the larger one ("En som mig") is about a girl at the age of 18 whilst the infamous Nynne is about a woman in her late 30's following her until the middle of her 40's. Does this particular way of creating the cover for a book appeal to 'heterosexual' people defined by society as 'female' of ALL ages?? I am wondering...

Drawing by Juhan called "If I had a ham I'd smash patriarchy...I found it"(the Ham red.)
She drew it on our 'Juhan and Andrae's day of fun and feminist artistry'. It's gorgeous, I think.

Une fille gentille

Today, me and my friend took a "second-hand-and-flea-marked-tour" round Nørrebro. I bought a black seethrough dress/blouse, a coverall, a gold backpack, a Barbra Streisand record and this book called Angelica or in my French version Angélique. It's Canadian and made by Helen Lucas. It's about an angel, who's trying to figure out her identity. There are amazing illustrations on every second page and text (not more than 15 words per page) on the others. The drawings are brilliant and you can just look at then for ages! I really like the way she draws buts, breasts and genitals. It's a very charming little book, which is incidentally dedicated to Andrea.
Also, I have all day had this craving for a glass of cold coke with ice cubes and lemon and, of course, a straw! Now, I've had this delicious drink several times today, but I still can't seem to get enough. I guess this will be my new "summer-drink"!
