Lesbian Teen-flicks part. 1

I am currently watching a lot of teenage flicks about lesbian love, and I think that this might be my favorite film genre. the first one I want to talk about is "The Incredibly True Adventures of Two Girls in Love" from 1995, directed by Maria Maggenti. Starring a very young and VEEEEERY hot Laurel Holloman (Tina from the L Word). This film is about Randy (Holloman), a scruffy young highschool girl who works at a gas-station, listens to rock music and has a fling with a married woman. She starts talking to the popular girl Evie (Nicole Ari Parker) and they eventually become lovers. The plot is about Evie's struggle to come out, the social differences between Randy and Evie's respective families, and the hot lesbian sex that they, in my opinion, have way too little of.
This is a cute film, it is not provocative in any way, which can be both good and bad, I liked it a lot and it changed my perception of Laurel Holloman for the better.
oh and I really want Randy's haircut!

Chillin

from the top: KD Lang, Bridget Everett, Rosie O'Donnell, Jodie Foster and Margaret Cho

It would seem that Juhan and I have very similar interests these days. When I'm not at university I do nothing but hang around the apartment, drinking wine and watching shitloads of the L word - naturally, I too, have a crush on Leisha Hailey, among others. But I am instead gonna post some pictures of my favorite American lgbt-friendly and lesbian stars (apart from those in L word, because I did that already). Song of the day is by Carmen Paris:

I am currently into my guiltiest of pleasures- Sex and The City. For some reason it gives me the idea that my friends and I are normal, acceptable and/or okay people, which can be quite comforting at times. Anygay I just realized that a lot of the music I listen to for comfort, and to get into a certain state of mind is music from SATC. Generally im not that into pop music, but the stuff from Sex and the City is so well chosen, much like the songs from QAF UK, US and the L word - all lovely series. Right now I cannot quite focus because I am listening to Barbra Streisand, but someday, soon hopefully, I'll make a list of the best songs from all series mentioned above. until then, here are pictures of me with soft drinks.

The L Word

I am rather ill these days and therefore more or less homeward bound. Not doing anything really apart from smelling, watching random series. they've started broadcasting Skins season 3 on danish TV which is nice, apart from that I am, yet again, completely and utterly obsessed with the L word.
The american TV series about lesbians, it has the tackiest intro-tune ever but it also has Katherine Moennig in the role as Shane Mccutcheon. I am so in love with her. Also, in the role as Alice Pieszecki, dah-dum; Leisha Hailey. These are two incredibly fascinating characters, and oh it is HOT.
And thus I wiki'ed miss Hailey and read that she used to date K.D. Lang...whom I also love. So there. Things are fabulous.
