Puh, but tender!

I just turned 18 and have over the past weeks recieved a lot of awesome presents. One of them is this lovely album by the danish artist Alberte. The album's from 1991 and it's quite chill.

I got a fantasticly tender album by John Travolta called I can't let you go. Almost every song is about dancing close to his heart and it is all very "puh". The following (awesome) picture is from the back of the cover.

This present came very conveniently 'cause I've been watching Grease 5 times in the past three weeks.
I couldn't upload this video, but please check this link out anyway...

Pornotopia

Pornotopia at Nørrebro Teater. Fucking awesome play! It was really very good! It's about two porn stars making their own porn film called Pornotopia and a journalist making a documentary about them. I liked the breaks, where they stepped out of character and talked with each other and the audience about seeing porn. One thing I thought was a bit disappointing was that they talked about women as though there are only to kinds; 1) the woman that watches porn 2) the woman that doesn't watch porn because she is suppressing her sexual needs. I would have liked it better if they had painted a more nuanced picture of women on the subject of porn.
But the rest was really fun and interessting and not as provocative as I'd expected!

Dødsyg søndag nananananana

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, therefore I have made sure that I do something fun whenever I'm done working in the old-people's home that I do now. And what could be more fun and calming than listening to the lovely, yet currently rather inactive, Danish pop band Ibens? Nothing in my opinion. I am the proud owner of their album "17 hits" which incidentally, apart from being filled with amazing, classic Ibens sounds, lovely lyrics etc., also features a couple of the tracks from Carsten Lykke (vocals) own album "selvoptaget". Definitely worth taking the time to listen properly to. To me Ibens means sitting inside when its raining, drinking tea, reading crappy teenage litterature and getting slightly drunk, I love this band and I am in awe of their amazing skills when it comes to creating beautiful yet subtle lyrics describing every-day life.
Listen to it on myspace.

Shake it up baby!

Spend most of this weekend in bed watching TV - which was nice! Wathced "Tro, Håb og Kærlighed" ("Twist and shout"), a danish movie from 1984. It's about two boys, Bjørn and Erik, in the 60's. Mostly Bjørns love life and Erik's relationship with his mother. I really liked it - except for a gross abortion scene, which is way to long!

Bjørn and Anna danse and kiss.
