Women's day!

Happy international women's day! I spend this happy day in the sun reading Simone de Beauvoir and walking around the city looking at comics and toys with my younger brother. We were going to go to the demonstration, but we were late.
It was a kind of ironic women's day in Denmark since three male ministers replaced two female ministers.

Fancy webcamming

I realized that I might use my webcam for taking some pictures, and so I did. This is the result:


My old hands demonstrating the graphic design of certain works in the category 'danish chick litterature' ("Nynnes Dagbog" and "En som mig") What I find quite interesting is the similarity - the whole patterny-colourfull-ness of both the books, and obviously the way the titles are written in different styles and sizes, much like were they cut out of some newspapers. I am currently kinda reading both books and the larger one ("En som mig") is about a girl at the age of 18 whilst the infamous Nynne is about a woman in her late 30's following her until the middle of her 40's. Does this particular way of creating the cover for a book appeal to 'heterosexual' people defined by society as 'female' of ALL ages?? I am wondering...

The L Word

I am rather ill these days and therefore more or less homeward bound. Not doing anything really apart from smelling, watching random series. they've started broadcasting Skins season 3 on danish TV which is nice, apart from that I am, yet again, completely and utterly obsessed with the L word.
The american TV series about lesbians, it has the tackiest intro-tune ever but it also has Katherine Moennig in the role as Shane Mccutcheon. I am so in love with her. Also, in the role as Alice Pieszecki, dah-dum; Leisha Hailey. These are two incredibly fascinating characters, and oh it is HOT.
And thus I wiki'ed miss Hailey and read that she used to date K.D. Lang...whom I also love. So there. Things are fabulous.

Sisters unite!

Hello everyone, and happy International Women's Day! Today we've demonstrated together with a lot (though, not enough) of Danish women and men. It was very nice, with good music, but it was slightly cold. Just wanted to mark this day and wish y'all a great day on the International Women's Day's 100 years anniversary!

On your back woman!

Went to CPH: DOX yesterday to watch the notorious”Dirty Diaries”, a series of short pornographic films about different elements of female sexuality. I thought it was great. Produced by Mia Engberg and directed by several different people, mainly Swedish. My favorites are “Skin”, “Dildoman”, “On your back woman!” “Phone fuck” and “flasher girl on tour”, but they are all great.
