Amazing Collaborations

So yeah I think it's time for some music. Nina Persson and The Manic Street Preachers "Your Love Alone is Not Enough".
This song reminds me of summer and my little brother, back when this was a hit he'd have been about 3 years old, trying to sing along the lyrics. We listened to this track on a local radio where they used to play lots of danish pop-music and Eskobar and Heather Nova's "Someone new" - another great collaboration. Back then there were loads more local radio stations, I think it a shame that they've been nationalised.
Ok here it is:

Ms. Dynami-tee

I went to Christianshavn with my mum the other night- Although summer is a shitty time for me and my fellow hay-fewer and pollen allergy sufferers, sometimes it is worth the sniffles to go outside and have a look at Copenhagen in the summertime. We found this alley with really old timbered houses, and people have all kinds of cool flowers in front of their houses. I always look for graffiti and stickers when I am out, and this time I found  the tags "Sloppy Jizzle" and "Filthy Joey" as seen above, which I think are hilarious tag-names.
Oh and song of the day; Ms. Dynamite "It Takes More" - brilliant millenium brit r'n'b.

Fedt man!

Today has been way to warm, especially because I'm in the city. I've watched Footloose, a Danish film called Fede Tider, The Naked Mile and Beta House. Fede Tider was cool and fun. I've watched it when I was younger, but understood more this time. I love Martin Brygmanns naked flute dance.

KILDEFEST I VALROS 2010

The Roskilde Festival was awesome. It was my first time and I loved it! It was so nice to get away from home and school. The warm-up days were fun and it was also nice to go to 4-5 concerts a day once the festival had really begun.
Here are a list of the good/übergreat concerts I saw:
Eim Ick
Gorillaz - awesome, but I expect Andrae will write more about that experience
Delphic - quite good British dance music, and the members wore fab pants that created an interesting kind of cameltoe.
CV Jørgensen - brilliant! Best concert! So fantastic, I love the lyrics and his voice. And I love that the first thing he said was " halløjsa" and then he drank some apple juice. His outfit was also very good.
Analog Africa Soundsystem - amazing atmosphere, everbody danced
Kings Of Convenience - chill, sat outside the tent and listened and relaxed with my friend
Mexican Institute Of Sound - awesome!
Muse - didn't expect to see them, but it was actually a quite good concert, and the front figure wore a silvery and glittery suit - nice!
Schlachthofbronx - nice and German, but with a very annoying and gross woman, who sang one song and then danced "sexy"-dance the rest of the time and kept on taking off her clothes
The National - all right. The singer had a nice and deep voice
Prince - really nice, but too many breaks and the audience had to sing almost all the refrains, which was a bit disappointing, but he had great outfit and moves.

The list of bad/not very good concerts:
Fallulah - terrible and enormously annoying singer, but the music was ok
John Olav Nilsen og Gjengen - not very good music, but the tamborinist/dancer was very cool and fun, and it was fun to try and understand the Norwegian lyrics
Canteca de Macao - awfull flamingo music! At first I thought it was a band from the Eurovision Song Contest - 'cause yeah, it was that bad!
Lindstrøm & Christabelle - had been promised synthetic 70's disco, but it wasn't disco at all, but just boring

I had a great week and a lot of fun! The naked race was also very fun to watch!

Best sms-conversation on rolskilde:
Jeg der renoco end meg serb jegsen. Vi se ses i kerner vej sneve lid.
What?
Jeg er ved test høghangem.

Une fille gentille

Today, me and my friend took a "second-hand-and-flea-marked-tour" round Nørrebro. I bought a black seethrough dress/blouse, a coverall, a gold backpack, a Barbra Streisand record and this book called Angelica or in my French version Angélique. It's Canadian and made by Helen Lucas. It's about an angel, who's trying to figure out her identity. There are amazing illustrations on every second page and text (not more than 15 words per page) on the others. The drawings are brilliant and you can just look at then for ages! I really like the way she draws buts, breasts and genitals. It's a very charming little book, which is incidentally dedicated to Andrea.
Also, I have all day had this craving for a glass of cold coke with ice cubes and lemon and, of course, a straw! Now, I've had this delicious drink several times today, but I still can't seem to get enough. I guess this will be my new "summer-drink"!

Tricks

I am very excited about Roskilde Festival this year - especially since C.V. Jørgensen is playing. Also the fact that Pavement are playing makes me feel all warm and fluffy because they're so tacky and lovely. Last year Gogol Bordello, Pet Shop Boys, Madness and Labrassbanda were all fantastic. I hope that this year we will be able to keep the camp remotely clean, yet I fear that this won't be the case.

L'auberge espagnole

L'auberge espagnole is about a young French man, Xavier, who moves to Spain for a year, and ends up living in a small apartement with 7 other young people from different European countries. It's nice and funny, and it makes you wanna go to Barcelona or just take a year off and chillax with cool people! I especially like the danish charachter named "Lars"!

"Je suis français, espagnol, anglais, danois. Je suis pas un mais plusieurs. Je suis comme l’Europe, je suis tout ça. Je suis un vrai bordel." - Xavier
